But perhaps in fact she was already dead. If not physically, Ella was now as cold as the fragments of the ship that remained floating around in four hundred trillion pieces. The energy had seeped away from them and they were cold. Absolutely cold.

Synopsis: Recoiling in the aftermath of a very Rocky Road, USS Hiroshima finds herself unexpectedly re-routed to tie up some loose ends (from The Dyson Hive).
The crew of USS Hiroshima learns that the Breen are in the process of developing biogenic weapons, which is a threat to all powers. Taking pre-emptive action, the Hiroshima sets the development of those weapons back, only to find that all is not as it seems. The captain had been replaced by an impostor and, to make matters worse, that impostor has seized technical readouts of the biogenic weapon and has escaped, presumably to Cardassian space. A rescue may be in order.
