The silence grew awkward, but she couldn't help herself. She burst out laughing. A disbelieving, "Sure... nice..." was all that she could get out between gasps for air. The Ensign's crimson cheeks grew even brighter, and she quickly turned and retreated to a back office. Feeling sorry for the girl, Adrianna still couldn't stop chuckling. SHE was the reason? She'd been stuck in stasis the last ten years, and then prior to that all she'd done was produce a series of papers for a couple medical journals. Nothing much of note there. She wiped a tear away with the back of her hand and took a deep breath, the chuckles still not gone. She'd have to apologize to the girl later, if she remembered.
